Boarding Requirements
Even with the best care, boarding can be stressful because your pet is in a new environment and his or her routines and habits are interrupted.  At Downtown Animal Hospital, stress is minimized by expert caregivers, attentiveness, proper handling, and strict cleanliness.  Also, all boarding pets are required to be current on vaccinations, protecting your pet from sick pets.  However, it is still possible for problems to occur despite all precautions we take.

Should any problem arise during your pet's stay, such as decreased appetite, loose stool, or vomiting, it will be detected by our experienced staff.  Additionally, there is always a doctor nearby who will handle small problems before they turn into big problems.  If problems develop and are persistent, our kennel staff may ask for a doctor to examine your pet at the cost of a physical exam.  If treatment is necessary, we will contact you for authorization of the needed treatments.  If we are unable to contact you, and the doctor feels that the problem is serious, your pet will be treated and normal fees will be charged.

Dogs must be current on the following vaccines: Distemper, parvo,  Rabies, and Bordetella.
Cats must be current on the following vaccines: felv, (FVRCP) and Rabies.
