Radiographs

At DAH, we work with highly qualified specialists to achieve rapid and accurate results.

We receive most blood work results within 24 hours.

Biopsy and cytology results are received within a week or sooner, if needed.  We photograph slides from the microscope for interpretation by a clinical pathologist in as little as a few hours.

EKGs are interpreted by a cardiologist and aid in determining treatment options for your pet.  Additionally, EKGs can be used before surgery to screen your pet for cardiac abnormalities prior to anesthesia.

When necessary, we consult with internal medicine specialists, radiologists, pathologists, cardiologists, ophthalmologists and nutritionists.

At DAH, we use digital radiographs to see what is happening inside your pet's body. This technology helps us detect abnormalities in the musculoskeletal system, heart, lungs, GI tract, and urinary tract.  Radiographs can be used to predict the number of puppies in pregnant females. When needed, radiographs can be sent to board-certified specialists for additional evaluation.

We also offer OFA certification. To obtain proper radiographs for OFA certifications, the patient must be sedated.

Downtown Animal Hospital combines state-of-the-art technology with compassion and expertise.

At DAH, we know how much you want your pet to feel better when they are sick. We utilize a full suite of in-house procedures to assess your pet issues and determine the best treatment options.
